OASIS Group expands in Northern Ireland

By Jade Miles | 24 May 2010

OASIS Group (Offsite Archive Storage and Integrated Services) today announced the acquisition of the Northern Ireland operations of Filestores. The deal which concluded late last week sees the Craigavon based operation become part of the rapidly enlarging OASIS operation.

The decision to purchase the NI operations of Filestores was a strategic expansion decision for the Group – further supporting the position of OASIS as the major player in the information management business in this important Northern Ireland market. Integration of systems and operations will begin immediately with OASIS holding onto the Craigavon data centre used by Filestores. This facility also gives the OASIS operation additional document and data storage capacity in this key market for the group.

Commenting on the deal, Dennis E Barnedt III, Chief Executive, OASIS Group, said “the acquisition of Filestores operations in Northern Ireland strengthens our offering and commitment to the market by providing additional facilities and personnel. It quite rightly places us as the pre-eminent Information Management experts in the Irish market, North and South.”

This acquisition comes soon after the recent purchase of Kings Inn records management in Dublin which was completed in December 2009.
