Today is the second day of Business Continuity Awareness Week 2023, and together we are ‘Embracing the challenge of Resilience’.

Today, Robert Condron, Group Procurement Manager, provides an insight into Supply Chain Resilience at OASIS Group.

The challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic exposed the vulnerabilities in the supply chain strategies of just about every organisation around the world.

As we emerge into a post-pandemic era, the importance of supply chain resilience is ever more important to the success of OASIS Group. We as an organisation are committed to focusing on more indigenous suppliers and reducing our reliance on higher risk sources.

OASIS Group has extensively mapped our strategic direct suppliers to uncover any potential risks. The objective is to mitigate any such risks to ensure we have lined up alternative supply sources, reduce our over-reliance on single service providers, and  provide better flexibility and resilience across our supply chain.

As OASIS Group continues to grow across different geographical regions, we will continue to identify supply chain improvements and unfreeze our organisational routines to meet the demands of our clients. We are continually impressing up on our suppliers how much we value innovative technologies which are able reduce our impact on the environment without an adverse effect on our supply chain.

Building a robust supply chain has strengthened our ability to absorb stress, recover critical functionality, and thrive in altered circumstances. It has become a key function in OASIS Group’s overall health.
