Overview

OASIS securely holds over 40,000 boxes of content for the borough. However in 2020, as the Covid-19 pandemic led to a mass increase in home working, LBHF staff increasingly needed to access records digitally, with hard copy return becoming less viable. In response, OASIS updated the way LBHF were able to access these records by providing a scan on demand service. Now OASIS Group fulfil around 25 digital requests on demand every month.

These are carried out quickly, with files usually uploaded and made available directly into the user’s chosen location within 24 hours of being requested.

LBHF provide details on their required file or section of file, varying from written documents to wide-format drawings and plans. OASIS then locate, prepare, scan, and upload it into a secure section of the Omnidox software platform for the authorised user to download.

  • Secure transfer of electronic information using Omnidox, information remains in Omnidox for agreed period before being deleted
  • Documents scanned as PDF images
  • Upload documents in a secure system (Omnidox) with the option to download images to their own system/PC

During the years we’ve been using OASIS for our off-site records storage service, we’ve always found their service to be of high quality and their team to be professional and helpful. Our day to day use of their recall and delivery services work well, their scan on demand service has helped a lot as we move to greater remote working, and they’ve supported us with a number of cataloguing and scanning projects.
