Ethical Suppliers
We very rarely use subcontractors, but on the few occasions we do, we ask them to complete a questionnaire aimed at making sure they can provide the necessary service in a safe, secure and ethical manner. Suppliers are audited annually.
When tendering, we ask questions aimed at encouraging a diverse range of businesses to apply. These include questions about price, availability, reputation, previous experience, quality, sustainability, and environmental management.
Our flatpack boxes are sourced from a supplier who describes their product as, ‘renewable, designed to be recyclable and are actually recycled and if littered biodegrades naturally without leaving a trace.’ They go on to explain that, ‘We also contribute to a world without packaging waste by supporting the concept of circularity. As part of that, we play a role in collecting used packaging and re-use more than 90% of this material in our closed loop business model.’
Our Internal Process for “Procurement and Supplier Management” covers the selection of suppliers and subcontractors, the purchase of goods, the inspection of goods and materials, the control of assets, and our compliance with our environmental and sustainability policies and standards.
